All Over the Page is a monthly evening book discussion group for adults, with a guest facilitator.
Event Details
This month we will be discussing The Miniaturist by Jessie Burton. The discussion will be facilitated by Christine Dano Johnson.
Engaging the services of a miniaturist to furnish a cabinet-sized replica of her new home, 18-year-old Nella Oortman, the wife of an illustrious merchant trader, soon discovers that the artist's tiny creations mirror their real-life counterparts in eerie and unexpected ways.
Christine Dano Johnson, MS has practiced mindfulness for over twenty years, and currently serves as the Director of Advancement for the McClung Museum of Natural History and Culture at the University of Tennessee. She has dedicated her professional, scholarly, and applied work to fostering relationships and building communities. Prior to her current role, she served as the Program Manager for the Aerospace & Defense MBA program at the Haslam College of Business. Her research and applied work is informed by transformative learning theory and creativity, mindfulness principles and practice, and an unwavering commitment to help all students and professionals reach their highest potential. Christine holds a Master of Science in Educational Psychology with a focus on Adult Learning, and is a registered yoga and mindfulness teacher (RYT 200) through Yoga Alliance.
