Program Type:Special Event
Children and teens, help us celebrate our summer reading theme of "Dive in Deep" by submitting your ocean-themed drawings, paintings, and collages to be displayed at participating library locations throughout the county. If you're feeling extra-creative, try incorporating recyclable materials into your art to highlight the importance of protecting the world's oceans by keeping them free of trash (all materials must be clean, and should not include food). Participating artists will also earn five hours of reading credit toward the "Dive in Deep" challenge.
Artists will be limited to ONE entry per person. All artwork must be submitted on 9" x 12" tagboard (provided by the library). The artwork can either be on the tagboard itself or mounted onto the board for display.
Space is limited, so be sure to register for a spot at one of the participating library locations between Sunday, June 26 and Sunday, July 10. Registered artists may bring their artwork to the library from Monday, July 11 through Wednesday July, 13.
For ADA accommodations, call (865) 215-8703 or send request to firstname.lastname@example.org 72 hours in advance of program.
