Event Details

Knoxville's Youth Poet Laureate, Melody Dalili, is working with the Knox County Public Library to create an opportunity for young people in the community to connect with one another through the Poet-Tree project. A Poet-Tree can be found in the Howard Pinkston Branch Library and all children and youth are invited to compose their own haiku on the leaves provided for display on the Poet-Tree.

Through this project, Melody seeks to make poetry accessible and remove any intimidating expectations of what it takes to be a poet. She believes that poetry is a gift meant to be shared with everyone!
