Program Description

Event Details

Festival season has begun! From March through June, you can count on a party or celebration every single weekend. From dogwoods blooming to opera singers singing to runners running and children reading, Knoxville loves to host festivals. Join historian and story teller, Laura Still, as we take a walking tour through downtown to learn where our exuberant town got its sparkle. We'll explore festivals and celebrations past and present.

Meet on the steps of Lawson McGhee and be prepared to walk for up to 90 minutes.

Weather-related cancellations

Outdoor events are held weather-permitting and are subject to cancellation. They will not move indoors for inclement weather unless specified. If you're unsure about whether an event will take place, please contact the location.
