Time Has a Pet
There lays a sweet cadence, a soothing voice, a soft tune
Blazing lights, bright tears, brilliant smiles, beaming down
Soft skin, a chubby face, there could be nothing sweeter
I find I'm in awe, how quickly new turns young
At just how quickly, she has grown
Once merely crying, now she sings

The Children Are Starving
This is a poem about the negative effects that social media has on body
image.
The children are starving
They won't eat a thing
Mom and Dad are confused
They can't see what this means
The children are dying
Dying to look like a fake
A photoshopped picture
They push away their plate

We're All Just Butterflies
I am a butterfly
Stretching its wings,
Preparing to take off
I flutter my wings,
Cautious of the outside chaos,
And prepare to be brave
I can feel myself lift away from
The ground and into the sky
Venturing into the unknown
And I am off —

Paying for Free Energy
Free Energy is not free
For you or for me.
We must pay a fee,
For Energy is free to be.
Free to flow,
flow away
Like water spreading through
an ocean bay.
Guided by equilibrium,
Energy longs for disorder,
