Blackout Poetry Workshop

We will introduce participants to a potentially new kind of poetry they can make! The library will provide basic supplies for community members to complete this simple creative writing and craft project.

Staff will provide some examples of blackout poetry, and then let participants choose a withdrawn book and markers to create their own poems to take home. We can also provide colorful paper, in case participants want to make a new cover for their repurposed book!

We will have a small display of poetry books available for checkout after the event. This program is intended for tweens and teens.
