Mayor Jacobs' 2022 reading voyage challenges our community to read one million hours together.
This year we'll complete three small reading challenges (see schedule below) to meet our million-hour goal. By participating in one, or all three challenges, you demonstrate to our community that you value literacy.
January 11-April 30
We kick off our reading voyage with the Anchor's Aweigh! Challenge. Pick up a map at any library location to get started. Track your reading time on your map, online, or download the Beanstack Tracker app
For every 5 hours you read in this challenge, earn a sticker badge for your map. Aim for just 20 minutes a day and read (or listen to) anything you want! When you’ve read 45 hours, pick up your prize at any library location by April 30.
