Join us for an evening with UT Professor Bill Hardwig as he discusses his new book, How Cormac Works: McCarthy, Language, and Style (LSU Press, 2025), in conversation with Katie Burnett of the Denbo Center for Humanities & the Arts. The program will explore McCarthy’s use of language and his vivid depictions of East Tennessee and Knoxville. Eric Dawson of the Calvin M. McClung Historical Collection will share McCarthy-related film pieces from the Tennessee Archive of Moving Image and Sound, and UT Libraries Dean Steve Smith will highlight recent McCarthy acquisitions at Hodges Library.
