Join us as we discuss A Fair Shake: the Leaders of the Fight for Women's Rights in Knoxville by Laura Still.

Author and tour guide Laura Still delves into the history of women's suffrage movement in Knoxville—its leaders, including the political and intellectual juggernaut Lizzie Crozier French, and other fearless female progressives who achieved lasting change. Also included are Jack Neely's profiles of Knoxville's legislators who assured the amendment's passage, a short history of the Knoxville Female Academy, and a tour of downtown suffrage statues and sites where history was made by groundbreaking women of Knoxville.
