Sarah Pirkle

East Tennessee native Sarah Pirkle is a multi-instrumentalist, music instructor, and songwriter. She is also the host of Kidstuff on WDVX, a show full of great music that kids and kids at heart will love. Most Saturdays the show is a mix of recorded and live music from inside the WDVX studio but Sarah hosts a special live performance edition every 2nd Saturday of the month that is free & open to the public!  Join Sarah every 2nd Saturday at 10:00 AM for a toe-tapping, family-friendly live music performance made just for kids—and their grownups who love them! Tune in for some catchy tunes to musical surprises. 

Sarah is a 2021 recipient of the South Arts Folk & Traditional Arts Master Artist Fellowship, and also was inducted into the East Tennessee Writers Hall of Fame. She was a songwriting instructor at acclaimed Steve Kaufman’s Acoustic Camp in 2022. Sarah is the program director and fiddle instructor for the Smoky Mtn. Affiliate of Junior Appalachian Musicians at the Great Smoky Mtn. Heritage Center in Townsend, TN. She has recorded multiple albums with her husband Jeff Barbra, and on her own.
