Program Description

All Over the Page

All Over the Page is a monthly evening book discussion group for adults, with a guest facilitator.

Event Details

This month we will be discussing The Road by Knoxville's own Cormac McCarthy. The discussion will be led by Nancy Williams, West High School Librarian.

Winner of the Pulitzer Prize for fiction in 2007, the novel is set in an indefinite, futuristic, post-apocalyptic world, a father, and his young son make their way through the ruins of a devastated American landscape, struggling to survive and preserve the last remnants of their own humanity.

Nancy has been the librarian at West High School for ten years now and in every interaction with students, she aims to be the librarian she needed as a troubled punk rock teenager in Los Angeles. She is from Tennessee, but has lived in Germany, New York, and California. Nancy recently gained dual citizenship by virtue of her mother emigrating from the UK. She loves antiques, thrift shopping, and collecting old books and jewelry in her spare time. She lives in Knoxville with her partner and their two dogs and three cats, all rescues!
