Program Description

Event Details

Born in Sharps Chapel, Sarah Kate came to old-time music through her grandfather's hand-built dulcimer when she was just 7 years old. Besides being a widely respected expert in the instrument, she is also a first-rate singer and songwriter. Her crystal-clear but rootsy vocal style combines the best of country, old-time, bluegrass and gospel.

This event is part of A Celebration of Women in Old-Time Music brought to you with support from the Tennessee Arts Commission's Arts Build Communities and the Friends of the Library.
