The Knox County divorce index allows for single name searches of divorce records created by the various Knox County, Tennessee, courts that processed the cases. The period covered is 1792–1985, and although it contains approximately 8,000 entries, it is not comprehensive. A large number of divorces from the 1970's and 1980's have yet to be entered.
